Passive Puppy Training.

House-training your puppy happens over time.Your little doggie would have aged a few months prior to the training’s completion. As do other mammals, young dogs go through an adjustment period, getting used to life outside of mommy’s womb.Bowel and bladder control is not inherent in canines; young pups can’t hold it as long as the adults.

You’d need to know how to passively train your pup because you can’t be there to watch him 24/7.

While You Were Elsewhere.

Paper training is the most sensible way to ensure continued house-training without your constant monitoring. Here’s how to do it:

Pick a room in the house where you can deposit your pup when you’d be gone for hours. When you’re about to leave and be gone for hours, leave your puppy in and lock the door.Line papers on the floor to cover the whole area.Be sure you leave him in with everything - food and water bowl, bed and toys.

At first, you’ll have the entire room to tidy up as your puppy is bound to eliminate everywhere.Be patient. Clean up and lay new sheets when you come in.After some time, your pet will eliminate only at a specific spot on the papered floor. When you can clearly see which area your pet prefers, start removing some of the papers.

Here is another informative article Solutions to Stop Dog Whining.

Start taking away the sheets farthest from the obvious poop preference area of your puppy.Proceed slowly, removing an inch or two of the papering, toward the dog’s preferred deposit spot.In time, leaving a few sheets on the floor will suffice. When you’re dog’s poop ends up outside the papered area at some point, it means you’re going too fast.Go back to a larger poop area, then resume to daily reduction.Down to one or two sheets with your pet pooping reliably on the sheets, you can start working toward moving his deposit spot to where you prefer it.

Deliberately move the sheet toward where you’d want your the pup to defecate.Push it forward every day, like you did earlier. You know you’re moving too fast too soon when poop winds up outside the papered area; move it back to where your pup pooped on it previously.Restart the exercise and proceed as usual, until the paper is where you choose and your dog shows he only poops there.

Some problems are Typical.

Be patient when passively house training your pet.Don’t get dismayed if your dogs seems to be slipping back after making progress.Go back to laying pieces of paper on a wider area.
